November Birthstone -Topez and Citrine
These Birthstones are very similar
There are two stones for the month of November. The popular Topaz and the golden Citrine represents the birthstone for those who are born in the month of November.
The name Topaz is most probably derived from an island in the Red Sea, “Topazos”, today called Zabargad, the ancient source of peridot.

TOPEZ: Gigantic gems and faceted spheres are cut from huge flawless crystals.
With the exception of Imperial Topaz, there are all varieties and different forms and colors of Topaz. Blue Topaz is perhaps the most popular.
The Egyptians believed that topaz was colored with the golden glow of the mighty Sun God Ra. Topaz was also said to change color in the presence of poisoned food or drink. As the Topaz activates the laws of attraction and manifestation, the amethyst transforms the energies into spiritual vibrations to produce a soothing, clearing and stabilizing effect. This combination of minerals is quite powerful for people in recovery, and who need help to focus and attract healing energy.
CITRINE: One finds few references in history to citrine, perhaps because of the stone's relative rarity, especially in the ancient world. However, some believe citrine was the tenth stone of the twelve identified in Genesis as being in the High Priest's breastplate. Citrine's historic reputation as the "success stone" or "merchant stone" -- as it is supposed to attract money, especially through sales -- was probably fueled by citrine's color affinity with gold. A prized stone among the medieval Celts and Scots for whom it served as a protective talisman against the plague, bad skin and evil thoughts, citrine was also employed as a charm against the poisonous bite of Scotland's one venomous snake, the vipera berus, an adder found in the Scottish Highlands
